Death Clash: The Winner Is...

*Your hostess for this clash is Asst. Editor Michelle Massaro

I've had a wonderful time the last couple of weeks reading excerpts, getting to know the authors, and exploring these two books. MaryLu and Sid, thank you so much. Both scenes did a fantastic job, but we can have only one Champion. Today that book is:
...

The Redemption, by MaryLu Tyndall

Congratulations!

A few of the comments we received were:

I loved the Excerpt B.....I look forward to reading the book..it seemed more historical and the genre of books I enjoy reading. I am personally blessed by many of the Christian fiction authors and want to say thank you for all you for your readers. God bless you both!

The true feelings of a hopeful realization of life, albeit small, came in excerpt A. I assumed in excerpt A the person dying already knew the Lord. The truth of the gospel was given in excerpt B, with a twist of surprise at the very end. Excerpt A was more emotional for me.

Both are well-done; I love the second one for the depth of its spiritual connection. God bless them both for opening people's hearts to God's Word.

It was very hard to choose. Both of you are quite accurate. You caught the non-acceptance of death in A and the concern of family that the departing one would be with the Lord in B.

Someone turning to Christ at the last moment is always a touching scene. It tugs at your heart to know that someone you would never see again, now you will. Very touching!

Keep writing as God leads you. You are bringing God's truth to readers; some who really need those truths in their lives.

Over the last 10 days we've had many readers vote and comment and now it's my very fun duty to give away one copy of each competing title to two of you.

The first drawing winner is:
You'll receive a copy of MaryLu Tyndall's The Redemption.

The second drawing winner is:
You'll receive a copy of Sid Frost's The Vengeance Squad.

Enjoy your books!

Everyone else, feel free to comment on this week's win here. We'll see you back here on Monday for another Clash, hosted by Delia Latham.

Happy reading!

Congrats, Mary Lu! Welcome to our hall of champs!
Sid, for a bit there, I thought you were going to be our first male champion. Tough competition, indeed! I sincerely hope you resubmit sometime. It's been a joy having you here!
You, too, Mary Lu!!

Congrats to one of the best authors out there! I pray this brings more recognition to your writing, so that others may be blessed as I have been.
