It's Reveal Day!

This week's host: Jennifer Slattery

Today's reveal day--the day when we get to meet the gifted authors behind these gut-wrenching scenes and the novels the scenes were pulled from. Based on the comments provided by our readers, both of these scenes struck a chord with you all. Now imagine how intense these scenes are in the context of the story, once your reality has merged with the character's and her dreams, fears and struggles have become your own.

Excerpt A came from Tina Pinson's In the Manor of a Ghost.

It's the 1870's. The Civil War has long since been fought and laid to rest, settlers are still joining the wagon trains and heading west to the New Eden. The land is changing. But those who dwell in Clayborne Manor seem trapped in time.

Trapped amid the whispers of failure and sorrow, whispers of longing and defeat. Kaitlin hears them clearly at night. But who haunts Clayborne Manor? The ghost that restlessly walks the halls in the night? Or the ones that plague the minds and spirits of those residing there? Though not inclined to believe the dead can walk the night laden corridors, Kaitlin can see them clearly in the eyes of her husband Devlin, and hear them in the deafening silence of her son, Derrick.

Does she have the courage to search the past and face the ghosts? Does she have the faith to stay and direct all those who dwell In the Manor of the Ghost to the one who sets the captive free?

Excert B came from DeAnna Julie Dodson's In Honor Bound

An incredibly moving story of loss and betrayal, forgiveness and love. His father will stop at nothing at all to keep the royal bloodline "pure"--even murder. But his sins have nearly destroyed Prince Philip and the future of his reign.

In this beautifully written medieval novel, Prince Philip Chastelayne burns the bridges of his life, and finds one woman, Rosalynde, his loyal wife, who will show him that he needs God's forgiveness in his heart.
