The Reveal...excerpt A Snappiest Dialogue

Welcome back to Week Two of Clash of the Title's Snappiest Dialogue Clash. Last week, we invited you to vote on two excerpts. Leave a comment here or on our Facebook page in order to enter the drawing for a copy of our clashing titles. And join us in our book club discussion of past Clash winners. My deepest thanks to COTT Talent Scout, Katie McCurdy, for putting this Clash together.

Excerpt A came from Sarah Sundin's A Memory Between Us.

Back Cover Blurb: Major Jack Novak has never failed to meet a challenge—until he meets army nurse Lieutenant Ruth Doherty. When Jack lands in the army hospital after a plane crash, he makes winning Ruth's heart a top-priority mission. But he has his work cut out for him. Not only is Ruth focused on her work in order to support her orphaned siblings back home, she also is determined not to give her heart to any man.
As the danger and tension of World War II rise to a fever pitch, Jack and Ruth will need each other more than ever. Can Jack break down her defenses? Or are they destined to go their separate ways?
From the English countryside to the perilous skies over France, A Memory Between Us takes you on a journey through love, forgiveness, and sacrifice.
A Memory Between Us is the second book in the Wings of Glory series, which follows the three Novak brothers, B-17 bomber pilots with the US Eighth Air Force stationed in England during World War II. Each book stands alone.

Sarah's question for you:

Do you exchange snappy dialogue with anyone in your life? If so, whom?

I exchange snappy dialogue every day, usually with my husband at some point, as well as a co-worker. She and I cut up and laugh all day long with the crazy stuff we think up! Oh, well...makes work a lot more fun! :o)

Snappy dialogue if fun. It's a treat to have such an exchange with someone. For me it usually ends up being family or close friends.

My husband and I banter a lot too - and my daughter is extraordinarily gifted at the witty retort. Her poor brothers :) I have some friends I enjoy bantering with too. It makes life fun!

Snappy dialogue is my favorite. I have one friend whom I'm constantly going back and forth with. We have this constant competition to have the last word. I work so hard to get him to the point where he says, "You know what? I don't want to hear it!" (Meaning, he's out of clever responses, and I've won.) It's a lot of fun.

My Brother and I always exchange snappy dialogues with each other. I'm sure we drive people crazy! It is so much fun but a great way to show we love each other!

Sarah, thanks so much for joining our little COTT family (well, it's not so little any more! lol) I exchange snappy dialogue with my 15 year old son. He's got a quick wit but I can hold my own. =)

Oh yes, when you have kids and grandkids, you soon learn to use snappy dialogue, lol.
