The Next COTT Author Crowned Champion!

Today’s the big day! The day we crown another COTT author as champion. Being only three points away from a tie, this was one of our closer competitions, and for good reason. Both excerpts were gripping. Well done, authors!

Enough of my chatter, right? I agree.

Our next Clash of the Titles Champion is...

Anne Patrick and her novel, A Familiar Evil.

Congratulations, Anne! And welcome to our Hall of Champions.

And a big thanks to her competitor, Mike Lynch, for playing along
with an excerpt from his novel, After the Cross.

Here’s what our readers had to say about this Clash:

  • I'm hooked! Loved the tension between Jordan and Sam.
  • Both were pretty intense and engaging.
  • Both were really good! I Liked Excerpt B because of the rather humorous exchange between husband and wife. :-) Definitely a book I'd want to get and read!
  • Loved both excerpts were wonderful! Lots of action and great tension.

Jordan Russell had the perfect life until the brutal monster from her childhood resurfaced, opening up scars she thought were healed.  With the hope of finally finding closure Jordan leaves her cheating husband, and her career in the FBI, and returns to where her nightmare began.  But what awaits her in Thorny Creek will push
her to the very edge of sanity and bring her face to face with her abductor.

And there’s more good news! Our two winners of our drawing books are…

Lucy McIntire who has won of copy of A Familiar Evil
and
Ally Wilkerson who will be receiving a copy of After the Cross.

Ladies, I’ll be contacting you shortly via email. Congrats on the win!

On Monday, host Jennifer Slattery will bring us two more excerpts with the theme of Most Romantic Moment—one of my favorites! Bring your friends. It’s promising to be a great Clash!!
